| You are now driving throught the Halt at Reelsen without stopping. Just beyond follows a Signal: |
Here for the first time, the Indusi (Induktive Zugsicherung - Inductive Train Protection) comes into operation, which verifies the compliance with the Signals and Speed Limits. Immediately after passing the Speed Limit Warning Board, press the Indusi-Alert (Enter-Key in Numeric Keypad). |
|
A brief explanation of the Indusi (for full details refer to the Documentation):
At the announcement of a Stop Signal or a Speed Limit reduction to under 100km/h,
the Driver must press the Indusi Alert Button. This verifies that the Driver has
seen and recognized the Signal. In addition, a Test Program begins,
that after 20 seconds checks that the speed has been reduced below 95km/h.
This ensures that the Driver has also applied the Brakes and begun to reduce the speed
of the train. During this 20 second period, the yellow 1000 Hz Light is illuminated
in the Driver's cab. If the Driver fails to acknowledge by pressing the Indusi Alert Button or fails to
reduce speed below 95km/h, then an Emergency Brake Application will follow, bringing the
train to a standstill.
In circumstances where there is only a small change in the Speed Limit, the fitting of the track based Indusi equipment may sometimes be omitted, which is exactly the situation in this case. The Test Program in this situation is not triggered and the yellow 1000Hz Light indicator does not illuminate. The Driver regardless, must press the Indusi Alert Button in every case. |
